James's obituary
Rev. Jim Trewern served God, his family and the church faithfully for 88 years before being promoted to heaven on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. As an Ordained Minister with the Assemblies of God for 65 years he pastored multiple churches in New Mexico and Arizona as well as serving as the New Mexico youth and Christian education director for 7 years and in Arizona as the Secretary Treasurer for 13 years. His ministry, influence and sacrifice has made an impact on so many and we are grateful for his investment in the Kingdom of God.
James is survived by his wife, Jan Trewern: sons Jay Trewern and spouse Kim; and Jerry Trewern and spouse Cindy, daughter Jeneva Dowell and spouse David; daughter-in-law Lori Trewern (surviving spouse of James’ son Jack Trewern); 6 grandkids and 8 great grandkids.
There will be no public memorial just a simple family gathering. Cards and condolences can be sent to Jim’s wife, Jan Trewern at 812 E Louise Ct, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
