It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of James Michael Steen, also generously known as Mike, who passed away on April 19, 2024. Born on November 8th, 1952, Mike graced the world with his warm, giving, and loving personality for just over 71 years.

James was a beacon of kindness, a firm believer in the power and importance of love, and a stalwart advocate for not passing judgement on others. His life was marked by these lessons, which he fervently instilled in all those he encountered on his journey.

James was an accomplished man and his exceptional skills were recognized both on land and in the water. He was a dedicated Scuba Instructor, a skillful Sky Dive Instructor and his dedication and commitment towards his profession earned him 2 Golden Globe Circle Awards during his 10-year tenure at IBM. But beyond the accolades and achievements, it was his ability to continually learn and grow through love that truly embodied his character. It was this same love and integrity that he implored others to strive for, constantly helping those around him grow.

James "Mike" Steen was more than just a name. He was a symbol of warmth, of unabashed love, of generosity and unyielding spirit. He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. We grieve his loss, but celebrate the remarkable life he led and the lessons he shared with us.
