My father James (Jim) Sorenson is currently in hospice at Tidewell in Arcadia Florida. He is not going to be with us much longer(may God rest his soul). Judy Sorenson , wife of James for nearly fifty years, lives on a fixed income. She is devastated about losing her lifelong husband and frantic over not being able to afford to bury him. My dad (stepfather) has always given everything he owns to raising us kids properly. Securing our happiness and well being no matter what the cost. Even though he did not build a nest egg, he invested in his families future by providing for us here and now. So my son and I are doing everything we can to show our love back by handling the arrangements of his departure but our funds are limited as well. Papa was an EMT and fireman for most of his life. He has even helped deliver babies into our world. Serving as Fire Chief in Sarasota and Arcadia during a portion of his years were some of his happiest moments of his life. With an extreme love for animals ,nature and mankind he devoted his life to helping people and his community. I'm hoping his community can help our family give him, most awesome dad plus Papa in the world, a descent farewell that he deserves.Any donations will be graciously appreciated and will go to the cost of cremation, the obituary and a small service with food and flowers.
