Missing this kind hearted, generous, funny and intellegent man.

I remember speaking with Jim at breakfast after Lisa's wedding. I was struck by the fact that he was so easy to be with. At least for me. His authentic nature came through and we had an interesting conversation about many topics.

My Uncle Jim was by far the most my favorite - he was and always will be THE BEST! His wit, humor, love and way with children touched me so much that I started to "study" his humor so I could carry his torch and make many more people laugh...... I always enjoyed his silly voicemails and joking around, there was never a dull moment when you were blessed to be in his presence.

I miss you Uncle Jim .....Have fun up there with my Dad.

Love you!

I will miss Jim. He was quite a character and friend. Straight out of college I popped into Bloomfield Hills to work at DMB&B on the Pontiac Automotive account. All overwhelmed and inexperienced. I met Jim the week I walked in the door. Jim was the art representative for Art Staff -Art Studio Down Town Detroit. When I needed a little humor and help with the agency processes-Jim cheered me up and help me learn how to play the game. Lot a lunches, trips down town Detroit to the studio to check on my key-lines and illustrations. Many Red Wing Hockey games. Jim was a good guy to be with. We joked around and laughed continuously. Jim actually alerted me to the house I bought down the block on Birwoood St. I lived there for ?25 years. Being a neighbor I had the pleasure of watching Jim and Nancy enjoy bringing up Andrew. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy and the Family.  Jim was a positive presence in our life during a very difficult season.  Jim & Nancy embraced our whole family, treated us with love and respect, offered employment for our oldest son at his store and of course who could ever forgot the introduction to Paczki's.  You will be dearly missed and fondly thought of often, we hold fast to the promise "Those who know the Lord never say good-bye, but until we meet again".   Much Love Pastor Blair & Kim & Family

There are no words to say how I feel.  Jim was one of the “nice guys” with a sense of humor compared to no other.

Uncle Jim called me Little Phil, of course, a reference to being the son of Big Phil my dad.   Always the big hearted and smarty pants uncle, we could always count on his fun loving sarcasm and maybe a little poking at us.  Jim was a big hearted man who loved his family deeply.   When he called you he didn’t say hey it’s uncle Jim, he just started talking and telling you how it was….   When my dad was sick he was at the hospital to see him (and us) every couple days (and it was not easy for him to make it there).   Uncle Jim thank you for all of your love, fun, smart ass comments over the years.  We will miss you…but can hear you still. Much love,  Little Phil

Jim was a big influence on my life.  We lived in Mrs. Wolf's  house on Warren Street in Big Rapids Michigan when we were college students.   I will never forget homecoming in 1959 with Zimmerman.
