Jim's obituary
In loving memory of my father, James "Jim" Neuman, who passed away on November 05, 2023.
His long and tremendously challenging road to recovery after his lung transplant kept him in the hospital for 7 months. In those 7 months, he made great strides forward with the recovery process. Sadly, with every step forward he made, he would always have to face the challenges of moving 10 steps backwards in his recovery and restarting the process over again. He, and his body, we truly put to the test of courage, strength, and perseverance.
Anyone who knew my dad, Jim, knows that he loved to stay busy. Whether it was working, projects at home or the cabin, or spending time with the grandkids, he always had something to do or that needed to get done. He was known as the analyzer of everything, which helped him in all aspects of his life. He was a kind, caring, sometimes stubborn man, but was willing to help anyone that he knew if he was able to. Jim was the type of person that would tell you how to do something differently if he knew it might make your job easier, or if you weren't doing it the way that he would have done it. He always managed to get his point across in a positive manner, even under the stress of a deadline or upset tenant.
Jim love to spend any spare time that he had outdoors whether it was fishing, hunting, or taking the grandkids on the Lake Train (a 4-wheeler ride down to the pontoon) when they were at the cabin. He also enjoyed showing his 1971 Dodge Demon off any time that he could. My dad and I would typically spend father's day doing a few burnouts on the backroads before we would go cruising around town. He also loved to bring the Demon to the race tracks to see how fast it was. He would always say when he would see his reaction times, "I've still got it".
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
You can finally breath the fresh air and use those lungs you worked so hard to get dad! You will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace dad/grandpa.
