One of the things I was always so struck and moved by was Jim's utter loyalty and devotion to Kerry. It seemed so clear that, even after so many years, he was besotted with his beloved Kerry. How rare and beautiful for any man to assume that role - and then there was something so special about the way Jim did it - quietly, in the background, humbly.
What I also know and remember - the mutuality of it. Kerry's profound and deep commitment to Jim, her words of kindness, care and love, bringing him so fully into her life. The devotion was reciprocated in every way.
Truly one of the great love stories of all time. This loss - for all, but 1,000 times more for you, Kerry, is so big that there truly are no words for it. But Jim's love for you endures as strongly as ever - I know it. I hope you are able to hold in close as you move into this hard holiday season without him by your side.
You are so loved by so many of us!

Dear Kerry —
I loved learning about Jim. An incredible man, and now I understand why he captured your heart. I just can’t stop thinking about how lucky the two of you were to have found each other, and how lucky he was to have your love as he left this world… and, as grief subsides over time, how lucky you are to have your memories of your shared life.
Please accept my condolences and my love —
Liza

Dear Kerry - your lovingly organized obituary provides a beautiful tapestry of Jim’s generous spirit, his accomplished life and the love and purpose the two of you shared together. A life well lived. A legacy to be admired and to inspire. Jim’s steadfast faith and confidence in the promises of our God - our creator, sustainer and redeemer - encourages me. Into His unfailing arms and everlasting love Jim laughs, lives and loves you still - I care about you and your pain Kerry - virtual hugs to you beautiful one ~

What a tremendous man! I didn’t share so much time or space with Jim, though when I was in his presence I remember it permeating the space, helping me feel wholesome and good and usually a touch inspired just by virtue of being around him. May his memory be a blessing, as his life was to so many.
