James's obituary

James Scott Richmond, II, 30, of Roseboro, NC, passed away on May 27, 2024 in Fayetteville, NC. Born on December 26, 1993, James was known for his kind, generous, and loving nature. He had a profound love for the outdoors, which was reflected in his hobbies that included fishing, hunting, swimming, and camping.

James attended Roseboro-Salemburg Elementary and Roseboro Middle, and continued his education at Lakewood High. He cherished the simple pleasures of life and was deeply connected to his family and friends.

He is survived by a loving family: his father, James Richmond; mother, Kimberly Byrd; wife, Danielle Marino; daughters, Lydia, Brooklyn, and Isabella; sisters, Katie, Ivy, Mckayla, and Maddie; and brothers, Tyler, Bradford, and Brody. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly. James was preceded in death by his son, James Scott Richmond, III "Ritchie", and his paternal grandparents, John and Donna Myers, as well as his maternal grandparents, Danny and Gracie Byrd.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 28th at 3pm at his aunt's home on Oliver Lane in Clinton. James's life was a testament to the joy of living authentically and embracing the natural world, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
