Our condolences to Jim’s Family, my brother and I worked under Jim’s supervision in and around the NYC area. He was great and understanding person whom respected all ironworkers whether if a worker was from Local 40 or a booming ironworker. He treated everyone the same as a brother ironworker. We remember Jim telling stories and listening to other ironworkers stories. He was also very humorous but stern with his responsibilities as a supervisor. This is so hard to start. Jimmy was always so full of life and fun times. What a great athlete but more important he so loved his family. We had hooked up the last couple yrs after seeing each other at Burkeys Sports Shop(so close to the Ounce!) Great life,Great family & Great friend. Condolences to all.

Rose, Laura, Diana, & Phillips Family,
Please accept our prayers and condolences on the loss of your Jim. He was such a beautiful soul who loved all of you and loved bragging about his family, especially kids!
It is ironic that my brother’s passing a year ago got us back in touch and planning to get together again this spring. He even sent me this photo with a number of others in our talks.
Smile with comfort, they are up there partying and keeping an eye on us.

My sincere condolences to the Phillips family. Although I hadn't seen Jim in several years, many a fond memory growing up in South Buffalo. We may have tipped one or two together at the ounce and a half over the years. God bless him, long may he run🙏

Randy and I are very sorry for your loss. We have heard many stories of his iron worker days. I know he will be missed by all.
