James “Jim” Rentas, age 45, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on May 5, 2024, in Austin, Texas. Born on June 19, 1978, Jim was a caring and loving person who touched the lives of many. He was an incredible friend, father, and husband, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Jasmine Shaw, his loving children Victoria, Annabelle, and James, his mother Juana Stuart-Soto, and his sister Jazmin Aresco. He was preceded in death by his father, also named James Rentas.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate Jim's life will be held. Details for the service are yet to be determined but will be shared with family and friends in due course.

Jim Rentas will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
