I just learned of JR's passing. I hadn't been in touch with him for a long time, but I always liked him. He used to come to Vancouver and he and I would smoke cigars together and stayed in touch for a several years. Great guy. Always fun and kind.

I just learned about JR’s passing. We played squash together at the University Club (not the PU club) and were friends many years ago. I sometimes bumped into him on the streets of San Francisco walking around. Always in good spirits and a good friend. RIP!

JR had a love, a kindness, a way of supporting his friends that was above and beyond. He had great stories, a great heart, a sweetness and some good sass. I appreciate our going to visit old growth redwoods, sitting inside them, meditating; how he took me to pick up my mom from the hospital after her heart complication; his support of HHTE, an organization that is so important to so many hearts and lives, internationally; his interest in consciousness and his awareness. I very much miss calling him up while I sit by the river here in Idaho, sharing photos. Blessings to you JR, wherever you are, may you be in peace and live a wonderful, rich next life.

JR was a friend and relative who visited a lot in the ‘80s. He loved experiencing all the great things in life, and he was fun from which to learn new things. We would catch up with him in Santa Fe and later in San Francisco. He will be missed by his family and extended family and friends.

It was very shocking to learn of JR’s sudden passing. He had worked so hard to rebuild his health after his heart attack, and he was so happy when his doctor gave him a great health report on the one year anniversary of his heart attack.
We have been neighbors for over a decade, sharing our life experiences, the good and the bad. Visiting places around the community, and we always stopped to chat on the sidewalk when he was going on his daily walk, and I was out walking my dogs. We exchanged favors, I took him to many doctor appointments and to the store, and in turn JR drove me to the hospital when I broke my wrist a few months ago. I’ll miss our conversations, and my friend terribly. Rest In Peace JR.

So sorry to hear this sad news. We met in 1979 while living in Santa Fe. I will miss you my friend.
