James's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Morrison, born April 23, 1989, who left us far too soon on May 18, 2024.

James was a cherished family man, and he is remembered lovingly by his wife, Alyssa Morrison, and their son, Aiden Morrison. His memory is also upheld by his father, Jeff Morrison, and his sisters, Heather Stoner, Rebecca Peters, and Trisha Carter. He was a respected son-in-law to Shari Bowman and Scott Croxford.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Laura Carter/Morrison, whose spirit continues to guide him from above. James was a graduate of DeKalb High School, having matriculated in 2008, and carried fond memories of his time at the West Dresser Road institution.

A man of simple pleasures, James cherished the refreshing taste of Coke and enjoyed the eclectic sounds of various musical genres. He was a fan of the television show Ancient Aliens and found contentment in a challenging game of Poker. James devoted his spare time to being with his family, cherishing each moment spent with his loved ones.

Physical fitness was also a priority for James, who enjoyed weight lifting as his preferred method of exercise. But, beyond all these, James was immensely proud of his service in the Army and the birth of his son, accomplishments that epitomized his dedication to his country and his family. They were the highlights of his life and will forever symbolize his strength and love.

His light will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Although the pain of loss is profound, we find solace in celebrating the life of a man whose spirit, love, and warmth affected us all. James Morrison will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
