James's obituary

Maysville – James Leon Pollitt, 77, passed away Tuesday May 6, 2025 at his residence.
Mr. Pollitt was born March 30, 1948 in Glen Springs, Lewis County, Kentucky to the late Thomas and Alifair May Pollitt. He was a farmer and an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife, Carla Rolph Pollitt; his children, Brandy (Johnny) Bradford, Wayne (Robin) Pollitt, Christa (Daniel) Henson, Matthew Pollitt, Jennifer Pollitt and James Pollitt; step-children, Martin Mitchell, Westin Mitchell, Sarah Mitchell, and Jo Rolph; brother, Doug Pollitt; sisters, Marie (Steve) Cooper, Mildred Irwin, Tonya (Gordon) Clos and Betty Riggs; 4 grandchildren, Taylor Bradford, James Tyler Bradford, Bradley Bradford, and Miranda Pollitt; and 5 step-grandchildren, Brandon Mitchell, Chloe Stevens, Colton Mitchell, Elizabeth Grace Smith, and Terry Michael Smith, III.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Ann Pollitt and brothers Austin Duff, William Pollitt, and Terry Gallenstein.
Services will be held on at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10 at Brell & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Debbie Horn officiatng. Burial will follow in Olivet Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Martin Mitchell, Westin Mitchell, James Bradford, Bradley Bradford, Jeremy Applegate, and Donnie Pollitt.
Honorary Pallbearers will Miranda Pollitt, Taylor Bradford and Bill Pollitt.
