James's obituary

James "Jim" Dennis Pecany, 79, gained his forever angel wings on Nov 29, 2022, at St. Andrew's Village, Indiana Pa.

James was the only child of Edmund & Marjorie Pecany of Pittsburgh, Pa and was born April 23, 1943. He graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1962.  In 2000, he graduated from Vale Tech in Blairsville, Pa. as an Automotive Technician. 

Jim enjoyed many activities in his life.  He loved going on adventures to Mt Davis, Lynn Run, Ohiopyle, Cooks Forest and the beaches in Erie.   He enjoyed going for nature walks through the woods and taking his black lab, named Cash, on all his adventures. He had a passion for trains and loved watching them and collecting them.  In the summers,  he enjoyed cook outs with his family and grandkids.

Jim is survived by his wife, Christine (Clawson) Pecany, of Indiana, Pa. Two sons, Patrick Pecany and his wife, Dawn Pecany of Indiana, Pa and Sean Pecany, also of Indiana, Pa. Two grandsons, Jonathan Pecany and Tyler Pecany, both of Indiana, Pa. 

Jim was looking forward to celebrating his 42nd wedding anniversary with his Forever Beloved  wife on Dec 17th, 2022. 

He  also leaves behind  his very good friend, Glenn Brown, also of Indiana, Pa. And his beloved 4-legged companion, his black lab, Cash.  

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Edmund and Marjorie Pecany, of Pittsburgh, Pa. 

At Jim's request, there will be no visitation.

A small memorial will be held at a later date and location is yet be determined.
