James P. Robinson Obituary

James P. Robinson, 78, husband of Gelena Reed Robinson, died Monday September 1, 2025. Born on July 17, 1947, in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of Sarah Vise Robinson Harney and the late Billy Cobb Robinson. James was a retired Journeyman Glazer with Onan Glass Company, a former employee of Grayhawk Construction Company, served in the United States Marine Corps and the Marine Reserves, and attended Immanuel Baptist Church. Additional survivors include one son, Jason William Robinson (Rachel); one daughter, Virginia Robinson Tyler (Wesley), and four grandchildren, Colin and William Robinson, and Loralei and Kelsey Tyler. Services will be conducted at 1:00pm Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Kerr Brothers -Main Street. Burial will follow in the Athens Cemetery. Visitation will be 11am to 1pm.
