Mel's obituary
Melvin worked as a foreman for 30 years providing for his family. When he wasn't doing that he would do many odd jobs around the house or shovelling snow for the local church during the winter. There wasn't any project that Mel could not do and he balked at physical limitations. When he retired he volunteered countless hours with hand in hand of St. Vincent de Paul Society helping many of those in need.
Mel was very much rough around the edges but he could be counted on many many times. The amount of buddies he had was countless. Going for a walk was a meet and greet for him wherever he went.
He is survived by his daughter Christine(Vince), son John (Jennifer), his grandson Avery (BubBub) and daughter in law Brandy, brother Bernard and sister Marlene, step brothers David, Darrell, Dougie, Edward, Joey, Wayne, step sisters Shirley, Laura and Heather, many step children, step grandchildren, step nieces and nephews. He will forever be remembered with that cigarette hanging off his mouth, work ethic and his strong will.
