James Douglas Minnix II, 79, of Rustburg, VA, passed away on May 9, 2024. He is survived by five children: Jamie Minnix of Mocksville, NC; Bryson Minnix of Rustburg, VA; Damon Minnix of Rustburg, VA; Shaun (and April) Minnix of Cave Spring, VA; and Monique Minnix of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by his grandchildren Dakota and Blake Minnix; and Parker, Conner, and Alexis Minnix. Additionally, he is survived by his sister Cheryle Farris Johnson of Lynchburg, VA, his brother William Odell Minnix of Clayton, NC, and his ex-wife Patsy Cumbee Minnix of Rustburg, VA. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Willard O. Minnix, Philip Minnix, and Robert D. Minnix.
