James Allen Mercer, aged 62, passed away on May 12, 2024, and entered into the kingdom of God. Born January 19, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio. James dearly loved his children and his grandchildren. Jim’s favorite past times included riding his motorcycle, cooking, and coaching soccer. Former member of the American Dawgs Motorcycle Club. Jim will be remembered by many as the former Taylor High School head soccer coach and coach of many select soccer teams.

Loving father of Bradley Mercer (Erin Tyler) and Danielle Volz (John Ryan). Grandfather of Mattix, Maizie, Gavin, Leighton, Cohen, Payton, and Raegan. Dear brother of Caroline Laughlin (Terry), Vivian Ellis (Scott), Stephen Mercer (Sherri), and Elizabeth Gilreath (Allen). Proceeded in death by his father Donald Mercer, mother Verna Mercer, and younger brother Matthew Mercer. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at St. Bernard of Clairvaux 7130 Harrison Avenue, Cincinnati OH 45247 on May 29. Visitation at 10am followed by mass at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
