Jim was a champion for his family and for Jesus. Whatever challenges arose, he was a rock that others clung to. I am so thankful for the goodness and consistency of his life. Deerfoot Lodge and may other places were blessed by his care and wisdom. He will be deeply missed.

I met Jim 4-5 years ago and was so impressed with his heart for our community, sharing JESUS and loving on those around him. Even then he was in his 80's and he did not have a STOP button...if there was a need, he was there to fill it or find someone who could...praying for provision and direction.
I know JESUS met Jim when he arrived in Heaven the other day with "Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant." We will miss Jim and are praying for Judy and all their wonderful family and friends!

Jim and I grew up almost as brothers. My father and Jim's father were twin brothers and they married sisters. Our families were always close.
We shared many good times. I remember when we were about 14, Jim and I (without cell phones) were put on a train in NJ and went to NY. There we got on a subway and rode to Coney Island where we spent the day. We then traveled back to Brooklyn where we were met by Jim's Dad who took us to a Dodgers game. All the now famous greats were on the field including Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Pewee Reese, Duke Snyder and others.
Jim's Dad passed away when he was in high school. I remember Jim getting up in front of our class and talking about how the Lord had helped him through that difficult time. Jim endured much difficulty through his life but in spite of incredible trials and sadness remained totally faithful to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jim was a true hero of the Faith and will be greatly missed.

I greatly admired Jim. He was a Deerfoot advocate, supporter, prayer warrior, and encouragement to me. He loved his family, prayed for them fervently, and poured his heart into many ministries. What a model of godliness. Love to all of his family...Ron Mackey, Deerfoot Lodge

Pop Pop is always so selfless. I loved when he would come visit, he would make his famous pancake recipe. There was nothing better than Pop Pop’s pancakes. I loved being his sous chef as a kid, watching over his side, and feeling so loved. I’m grateful for everything he taught me.
