James's obituary
James Marvin Austin . August 7 1932 - September 29, 2022
He was born on August 7, 1932 to Mary L. (Card) Austin and James L. Austin in Butler, NJ. James grew up in Grahamville, NY as a kid. He later went to school in Ellenville, NY. He worked for Marvin Millworks in Ellenville. In his early years. Then went to work for Operating Engineers Local 825. He retired when he was 50 years old and moved to Masonville, NY in 1994 and built his house. He loved to fish and hunt. He loved to collect certain thing. We didn’t live to far from each other. My dad and me spent many days together at the local fairs showing my bunnies. We do special entries at the fairs and Won Best of Show many times. He would buy me things I collected, like old oil cans and he’d go with me to small animal auctions in Unadilla, NY. He even help build my Bunny Barn. He was a great carpenter. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do. We’d go shopping and for rides to visit his friends, we cut and stack wood for the winters ahead. He’d always say, “I love you”. I cherish all that he taught me, even to drive his Ford Bronco when I turned 16. Those memories will last a lifetime for me. My dad was special to me and like he said, “you never hurt the people you love.” You will be missed Dad your always in my heart ❤️.
