James's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James "Jamey" Ross, who was born on September 25, 1994, and preferred to be addressed as James. His departure has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. Many will remember Jamey for his vivacious personality, his fearless attitude, and his passionate spirit. He was the embodiment of carefree living and had a unique knack for making people laugh. His intensity was magnetic, drawing people towards him with the sheer force of his personality.
James's legacy will live on in the lessons and values he instilled in those around him. He taught us to love fiercely, to live each day as if it were our last, and to have unwavering faith in God. He encouraged us to be dreamers, to not worry about tomorrow, and to always be a light for others. He showed us the importance of speaking our minds, advocating for those in need, and smiling through the pain.
Throughout his life, Jamey achieved many accomplishments. Notably, he was saved by Jesus Christ and served as a Crew Chief in the United States Airforce. Jamey had a love for mechanics, working proficiently on cars and airplanes alike. His educational achievements included a degree in HVACR technician career diploma. He was also a loving father to many animals, showcasing his warm and giving nature.
James was preceeded in death by his brother Jonathon "Dougie" Bollenbacher, sister, Christina Weber, grandfather, Jack Strang, and Godmother, Suzi O'Dell. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, a large and loving family; his wife, Kayla Ross; his mother, Rita Strang; his step-mother, Debra Kraniak; his brothers, Eli Bellah, Michael Bollenbacher, Christofer Kraniak, and Patrick Kraniak; his sisters, Tiffani Knoop, Stefani Simmons, April Kraniak, Amber Kraniak, and Jennifer VanVoorst; his sisters-in-law, Mikki Vuittonet and Teah Lewis; his brother-in-laws, Stewart Knoop and Max Simmons, his nieces, Serenity, Khloe, Kherington, Kiley, Qianna, Shaylee, Taylor, Sloan, and Kathrine; and his nephews, Kyle, Lawrence, Gabriel, Jack, Matthew, Carter, Dylan, Skylar, and Dominic.
James lived life on the edge and died on the edge. His spontaneity, kindness, intensity, and impulsivity were the characteristics that people loved about him. His love for his family, wife, and animals was fierce and unyielding. His uncanny ability to connect with anyone made people fall in love with him.
The Celebration of Life will be held on July 13th, 2024 at 11am in Wabash, IN.
