James Martin Cole died on December 26th, 2019 from a courageous battle with cancer. He was a husband, father, sponsor, colleague, and friend to many good people.

Jim was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to Willis and Bernice Cole. He loved his wife of 48 years Janet Elaine Carlson, and they love their children Michael, Ryan, and Loren. Jim leaves behind 3 grand-children (Luke, James, and Ethan) and many good friends.

Jim followed his father and grandfather to work in law enforcement, joining the Immigration and Naturalization Service in 1971, and worked in various positions including: criminal investigator, Deputy Assistant District Director, District Director, and Associate Regional Director. He worked across agencies with commendations from the INS, the FBI, and the Department of the Army.
