With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James "Jungle" Carter, a man of unique personality, intense friendliness, humor, and remarkable talent. James, fondly also known as Jungle, departed this life on September 15, 2023, having been born on the 16th of August, 1960.
James leaves behind his cherished wife, Barbara Williams, his son Nathan Carter, his daughters, Christina Lewellen and Jamie Defreitas his son in law Jedidiah Lewellen and daughter in law Roni Sharpe mourn his loss, as do his beloved grandchildren: Madelynn Carter, Stryder Lewellen, Korbyn Lewellen, Addy Meza. He also left behind his extended sons Chris Bowen, Lance Davis and Lucas Lewellen. His extended grandchildren Remi, Daisy,Noah Bowen and Ashlynn Davis mourn his loss and miss him dearly.
Known for his one-of-a-kind personality, James was remarkably friendly and a source of constant humor. His love for fishing was well-known and often served as a medium for relaxation and recreation.
James, or Jungle as many knew him, shared his knowledge generously, teaching his sons and many others the craft of tree work, and how to sell tree contracts. His expertise in climbing and salesmanship was unmatched, creating a legacy that will outlive him.
However, his greatest accomplishment, the one he was most proud of, was his family. In the last few years, he found true joy in becoming the husband, father, and grandfather he had always desired to be. His pride in his family was evident in his actions and words, making their loss all the more saddening.
