James "Biere" passed away on June 18th in Boston, MA, and has joined his family that had  preceded him in death, including his father John, his mother Donna Mae, his sister Nuie and his brother John. James led an active life and was part of a large busy family growing up in Minnetonka, MN. He excelled in Ski Racing, Cycling, Marathon running and just about anything he tried. He earned a BS in Business from Colorado University and received his MBA from The University of Miami while his wife Eva was earning her Law Degree. James had a successful and rewarding career with Alvarez & Marsal in Boston.

James "Biere" and Eva raised their children in Newton MA. Their oldest son Aleksandr and his wife Elle are living in NYC where he is an accomplished investment banker. Blaise is living in  Aspen CO and is an Event Operations Manager at Aspen Skiing Company, while enjoying the beauty and adventures that he finds in the mountains. Luka is a Junior at UMass-Lowell where she is Majoring in English and pursuing a Minor in Marketing while excelling in soccer. James had a successful career in business, but he was most proud of his children and how they have all worked hard to accomplish amazing things while all being their own individuals.

James' funeral took place on July 15th 2025 at St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish in Chestnut Hill, MA. We will be gathering for a celebration of James' life at St. Victoria in Victoria MN on August 10th, 2025 at their 10:45 outdoor mass with refreshments to follow in the prayer garden.
