Background
Disaster ministries were part of Rev. Leamon's social activism causes from 1997 to 2012. He was the national disaster coordinator for the UCC, helping with flood relief, hurricane recovery, ground zero chaplain, and other justice and witness ministries across the midwest and east coast. He also organized many trips to rebuild burnt churches (NCCBC) throughout the south.
Dad also battled lewey body dementia (LBD) in the last years of his life. He suffered with neuropsychiatric symptoms, which included hallucinations, behavioral problems, and difficulty with complex mental activities. It was hard to watch and he would not want others to have to bear what he did. Contribute to Lewy Body Dementia Association
