James Michael Lavoie, 68, passed away peacefully on March 27th, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 12th, 1954, in Worcester, Massachusetts to James and Phyllis Lavoie and grew up in Worcester as well.


James worked for Mack trucks for over 30 years and had a passion for mechanics, motorcycles, boating, traveling, anything Star Wars or Star Trek, and simple things like peanuts and black licorice. He was known for his great sense of humor, being able to fix anything, his work ethic, and his love for his family. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted father to his two children, James and Jessica Lavoie, his granddaughter Lyla, and survived by his two sisters, Deborah and Lisa, his brother Mark, and his father James. 


James Lavoie will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A celebration of life service will be held in June in Worcester, Ma, with further details to be shared here at a later date.


Rest in peace, Jim. You will always be remembered and loved.
