James's obituary

James Johnson Jr., 68, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed on March 29, 2021. James was born on June 05, 1952 to James Johnson Sr. and Shailiah Johnson in Pinebluff, Arkansas. He was 3rd out of their 10 children.
James was known to many family members as "Headquarters" because if anything needed to be done in a timely or organized manner, he was the one to go to. He loved life. He was passionate about fishing, especially with his brothers. Everyone that knew him knows what he loved: family, retirement, traveling, skiing, baseball caps, cowboy boots, Mercedes cars, and the Dallas Cowboys Football Team.
James was baptized at the age of 21 at the New Baptist Church in Sherwoo, Arkansas, under the leadership of Reverend James Herring Jr. He was a past member of several churches in Little Rock and North Little Rock.
James was united in marriage to Willie Johnson on January 4, 1982. They were happily married and Deborah was faithful to James throughout his health battles and remained by his side until the very end.
James Johnson graduated from Pine Bluff High School. He was a proud member of the Class of 1970. Immediately after graduation, he entered the U.S. Army. While in the military, he traveled to various parts of the world where he never met a stranger. He loved retirement.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Rozena Johndon; his lovely wife Willie; his children, Cherita Johnson of Little Rock, AR, Donte Womack of Kansas City, KS, Leroy Womack of AtL, GA. His beautiful grandchildren Zennedy Bibbs, Creighton Werd, and Xavier Johnson He also leaves a special niece, Jacqueline, and a host of other loving family members.
