James "Jim" David Pratt, 1959 - 2023
James "Jim" David Pratt, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. Jim was born on October 12th, 1959.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Karen Pratt, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and laughter. He is also survived by his siblings: Debie Billau, Leslie Berg, Sheryl Pratt, Mark Pratt, Kelly Corbett, Robert Pratt, and Vicki Pratt.
Jim's legacy lives on through his children: Angela Robertson (Gary), Anthony Latta-Pratt (Jen), Andy Latta-Pratt (Ashlee), and Austin Latta-Pratt (Amber). He was a proud and doting grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Jim had a passion for life and a love for adventure. He adored motorcycles, cars, and semi trucks, finding joy in the open road and the freedom of the journey. Despite being a procrastinator, he was a spontaneous traveler and adventurer, always ready to embark on a new experience. His favorite destination was the mountains, where he felt a deep connection and a sense of peace.
A die-hard Nascar and Dallas Cowboys fan, he loved sharing the excitement of the game with his family and friends. He also loved spending time with his best friend, Tim Sheldon, who he shared many days on the porch discussing life and creating lasting memories together.
But, above all, Jim was a devout family man. He cherished every moment spent with his family. His family was the center of his world, and his love for them was unwavering.
Jim's departure has left an irreplaceable void, but his spirit, sense of adventure, and love for family will continue to guide and inspire those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 4th, at 2pm at Gibsonburg Community Church.
