James's obituary

James Jardine, Sr.

James (Jim) Jardine passed away at his home in Glassboro, NJ, on November 5, 2023. He is the beloved husband of Jennifer (nee Stone). He is the devoted father of Karla, James Jr., Jacqueline, and Jessica Jardine. He is the loving grandfather of Christopher, Emma, and Liam. He is the loving son of Dorothy (nee Slota) and the late Archibald Jardine. He is the dear brother of Linda Montervino, Karen Bedard, Dottie Jardine, Archie Jardine, Daniel Jardine, and Thomas Jardine as well as his brothers and sisters-in law. Jim is survived by many family members, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and his beloved friends.

A lifelong resident of New Jersey, Jim graduated from Ewing High School in 1974. He went on to follow in his father's footsteps by working at PSE&G, where he remained an employee until his retirement. Jim received letters of recognition from his employer for many years for not missing a day of work throughout the year. He was an incredibly hard worker. Besides his main job at PSE&G, he owned a lawn business and drove a limousine.

Jim was a family man. Some of his favorite things to do were cooking with his wife, playing games with his kids, and watching movies with the family. He liked to spend time at the Jersey shore with his family. The thing that made him the happiest was having all of his children and grandchildren come to the house for dinner. He always looked forward to monthly breakfast with his friends from PSE&G. Jim was a tinkerer and could fix anything. He had an incredible knack for making difficult things easy. He was a fierce protector of his loved ones, and he had an infectious happiness and zest for life. Jim was an animal lover.  If you ever walked into the house, you would find his cat, Zeus, sitting on his lap. Please remember Jim with an act of kindness.
