James Charles “JC” Hazelwood, Jr., passed away at the age of 30 on October 27, 2024. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Velma and Sam Landreth and Charles and Eva Hazelwood. He is survived by his three sweet boys Aiden, Noah, and Bryson; his mother Vickie Landreth; brother Johnny Edwards and wife Ashely; niece and nephew amber and Riley; sister Kimberly Hazelwood; niece Frank’Lynn Moore; his father James Charles Hazelwood and wife Leeann; and his wife Amber Hazelwood.

JC was loved by many and always had a smile that would brighten any room he walked in. To know JC was to know someone with so much kindness. He’d give you the shirt off his back if he knew you needed it. A person filled with so much love to give everyone and often would lack to give to himself. To know him was the true blessing within itself.

A mama’s boy to say at the least, a mother- son bond as close as could be. That’s why he was so close with others in his own special little way. He had a big heart like mother like son with big ole heaping spoon full of his grandmother as well. This loss for his family and friends will forever leave a dent on us all because he loved us this big.

A 5:00 p.m. memorial service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Ray Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Harmon officiating. The family will greet friends following the service and all other times at the home of his brother, Johnny (2723 Dillard Road, Madison, NC 27025).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
