James's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James Harold Haupt September 27, 2025. Born to parents Harold Haupt and Evelyn Madderra on October 24,1956. James leaves behind a legacy filled with passion, bold opinions, and a lifetime of commitment to the aircraft industry.
James is predeceased by his parents, Harold Haupt and Evelyn Madderra and is survived by The Mother of his children Angelika Haupt, children Timothy Haupt and Sonja Haupt, along with his brother, Bill Madderra and sister, Paula Rutland. His loving family and friends remember him as a man of strong beliefs, who loved a good debate with anyone and his strong passion for classic automobiles.
James began his career with the US Air Force Active Duty in the 1970s thru 1980s. There after transitioned as a Military Contractor with Lockheed until early 1992. He served all over the world to include Germany, and several states within the US. He had an extensive knowledge of many aircraft, notably F15, F16s and AC130s. His love for aircraft wasn't restricted to his profession only. In his personal life, he enjoyed working on and appreciating anything related to classic Muscle cars RC cars and Scuba Diving.
Those who knew James remember him as a man with a bold personality. He was never one to shy away from a debate and always spoke up for what he believed in. His unwavering spirit, expertise, and passion for life will truly be missed.
We are left with the memories of a man who lived life on his terms, appreciating the intricacies of aircraft, and never backing down from a good-natured debate. James will forever be remembered for his passion, perseverance, and love for his family and work.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
