4/20/23... Happy Birthday today buddy. Daze and I still missing you and Shannon. The old garage isn't the same without you guys hanging out. I'm sure wherever you are, you're still the "smartest guy in the room" busting some poor fella's chops over syntax errors. P.S. you will ALWAYS be older than me...
I knew James through David Hawkins in Portland. I was always impressed with his intelligence and incredible drive to learn more through science albeit through his ability to transform his car into being biodiesel run or his lovely, heartfelt musical projects. Such a handsome, talented man. Much love.
The news of his passing still doesn’t seem real...I’m struggling to find words to write on here. He should be enjoying life, writing songs, drinking coffee, riding his motorcycle and just BEING. I appreciate that people knew where they stood with James because he didn’t pretend. He had the intensity and confidence of a lion yet loved deeply. I wish I had been able to see him recently. I am sharing a sentiment by someone close to me...”I want to hug him again and have that cup of coffee that we talked about. He’ll always hold a place in my heart.”
If his memorial wasn’t on Thursday afternoon I would for sure be there. Work & distance will not allow me unless it’s a weekend. If anybody wants to get together at another time and/or in the Portland area, let me know. There are a few of us who would enjoy the opportunity. My heartfelt condolences to his Mother, Father and sister. ♥️
