My condolences to Jim’s family and friends. When I first met Jim he was so friendly, welcoming, and very giving and kind. He always invited me to come visit anytime, and always asked why I couldn’t stay longer. I wish I had spent more time getting to know him better. He always had that great smile and sense of humor. Once I needed something printed for my son, and he willingly let me print what I needed without hesitation. While I was retrieving the papers from the printer, I saw the beautiful pictures, one of him and one of Peggy, on their bedroom wall, so I gave him frames for their anniversary to put the pictures in. It’s just something I had to do because I thought those pictures deserved better than just push pins. One thing we had in common is that we both worked for the Department of Corrections. I admired and respected him for his service and career as a CO. He was always looking out for his neighbors, and so hospitable. Once he and I were sitting in the front row at Bingo, and we were both cracking jokes. After that day, Peggy told me he said I was pretty cool. He always called me Kid. I thought he was pretty cool too. I felt like even though we had different beliefs and/or lifestyles we still could share a laugh, a hug and a smile! I’m so very grateful for sure to have known him. 🙏🏼♥️💐
