James's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Giambattisto, who was born on December 9, 1951 and passed away on July 13, 2024 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He was the beloved son of Dominic Giambattisto and Blanche Faucher.

James was a husband to Mitzi Dumaresque, whom he married in 1975. Together, they raised four children: Peter (spouse Florence Mitchell), Matthew (spouse Tammy Clark), Nicholas (spouse Leigh Roper), and Kristopher (spouse Jessica Mallette). James was also a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren (Oliva, Marlowe, Jacob, Joshua, Clementine, Maxwell, Sadie, Penelope and Charlotte)

He also leaves behind his younger brother Peter (spouse Mirka Dancose) and nieces and nephews Bianca, Lucas, Kirk and Cody.

James dedicated many years of his life to his work at Centre Typo. Outside of work, he enjoyed hobbies such as camping and coaching sports. He shared his love for the outdoors with his family who in turn continue to keep this legacy alive with their young families

James passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.

Services will be held on Friday, August 2nd at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White,

5610 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, (NDG) Montreal, Quebec, H4A 1W5 at 5pm.

Mass to be held Saturday, August 3rd, 11am at Saint-Raymond-de-Pennafort

5765 Rue Saint-Jacques, Montréal, QC H4A 2E8
