James Walter Ferguson of Picayune, Mississippi went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at the age of 35.

Walter was a native of Pearl River County. He was a kid at heart who enjoyed playing music, and PlayStation. He was an avid skate border. Walter was a caring and comforting soul; laid back in life, lighting the mood with his funny sense of humor and would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Walter was a provider and a dedicated husband, father, and son. He was loved and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Destiny Gardner Ferguson; parents, James Alfred Ferguson and Deborah Cox Ferguson; daughters, Scarlett Lilly Ferguson and Hazel Anne Ferguson; sisters, Sarah Jarrell and Katie Plude; grandfather, Huey Cox, Sr; brothers-in-law, Robert Jarell and Dean Plude; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Waiting for him in Heaven is his grandmothers, Jeannette Neff Cox and Marie Smith; grandfather, Walter William Ferguson.
