It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. James Edward Farr, lovingly known as Doc, who departed this life on March 23, 2025. Born on March 5, 1939, James lived a fulfilling life full of love, fun, and artistry.
James's love for Jehovah was evident in his everyday life. He was a devout Jehovah's Witness whose devotion was inspiring and unwavering. His dedication to his faith was an incredible testament to his character, manifested in his kindness and integrity. His profound desire to always "do the right thing" was a beacon of light that brightened the lives of everyone he encountered.
Undoubtedly, James's greatest accomplishments were his loving family. He took immense pride in raising his four daughters, his son, and treasuring his many grandchildren. His love for them was boundless and ever-present. He is survived by his wife, Patsy Ferguson-Farr his three daughters, Brenda & (Carlos)Ferro, Rhonda & (Rob)Bartholomay and Cherie & (JJ)Sehlke and his son, Doug & (Sara) Farr Proceeded in death his daughter, Bianca Farr. James also had many grandchildren and great grandchildren and loving brothers and sisters.
James graduated Whitesboro High School in Whitesboro, NY and Mohawk Valley Beauty School . He started his life, making people beautiful by being a beautician. James was blessed with an artistic flair that he loved to express through doing hair also through his paintings and sketches. His creative spirit touched many, adding color and cheer to their lives. His art will continue to inspire and bring joy to everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
A memorial service for James will be held on May 24, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses 3915 26th St West, Bradenton, Florida . It will be a time to remember, honor, and celebrate the life of a man who taught us to 'love one another’ and ‘have fun at the beach’ !The legacy of James's love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
We remember James not with sorrow but with gratitude for having had the privilege of sharing in his life. His lessons, his love, his art - these are the legacies that James leaves behind. His spirit continues to live on in our memories of him. His love for Jehovah, his family, and his art was the cornerstone of his life. A man of strong faith, loving nature, and invaluable life lessons, James "Doc" Farr will be deeply missed.
