James R. Elmore Jr., born August 20, 1963, in Memphis, Tennessee, passed away surrounded by the love of family and memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
James was a man who loved the open road and the freedom that came with it. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke, always finding ways to make those around him smile. He was known for his generous heart, always willing to give his time or lend a helping hand — or even financial support — to family whenever they were in need. His kindness and willingness to help others defined who he was.
He is survived by his brothers, Ronnie Elmore, Dean Elmore, and Mark Elmore; his sisters, Joanie Elmore and Suzanne Kiebzak; and Gwen Campbell. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Roger and Keri Williams Jr., Lindsay Ray and Jason Fowler, and Rheanan Gardner and Louis Gardner, along with many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his beloved great-nephew, Matthew Ray, whom he loved dearly.
James will be remembered for his big heart, his humor, and the way he showed up for his family no matter what. Though he is gone from this world, the love and memories he created will remain forever.

"Ecclesiastes 7:2 — It is better to enter a house of mourning than a house of feasting, since death is the end of every man, and the living should take this to heart."
