Jim lived a life full of passion, purpose, and service to others. Before 1978, he made a lasting impact on the Knoxville music scene as the owner of Bradley Station, a well-known club on Cumberland Avenue. His love for music later led him on the road, driving a truck for the Marshall Tucker Band.

He dedicated himself to addiction treatment and recovery services, working in various settings to guide both adolescents and adults through early intervention, education and the 12 Steps of Recovery. His wisdom and compassion became a guiding light for countless individuals on their journey for a better life.
In June 2005, Jim and Diana were married and built a new chapter together with the creation of Journey Together in Blaine, TN, Later, they went on to create Once Upon A Time Farm in Powder Springs, TN. Through their work, they provided Equine and other Animal-Assisted Therapy, offering healing and support to many. As dedicated members of EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association), Jim found joy and purpose in helping others through the connection between humans and animals.
