James's obituary

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of James Williams, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, on June 27, 2023. Born on March 3, 1958, to the late Margaret Livingston, James proved to be a source of strength and inspiration for his family throughout his remarkable life.

James graduated from Watson Chapel in Pine Bluff, AR, in 1977. Following his graduation, he embarked on a fulfilling career at Tyson Foods in 1984 which spanned over two decades, up until his retirement in 2007. In the midst of his professional journey, he found love with Hattie Williams and they joyously tied the knot in 1986.

In 1997, he answered a divine calling and became a Minister, dedicating his life to serving his community. His spirituality also led him to be an attendee at Highland Terrace Baptist Church. His faith and generosity of spirit touched many lives and he will be remembered fondly for his devout commitment to his congregation.

James leaves behind his devoted wife, Hattie Williams, and their blessed children; Desmond Williams, Marquita Holmes-Watkins, and Celeste Jenkins. He is also survived by his child-in-law, Taylor Williams, Desmond's wife, who was much like a daughter to him, his younger brother, Jimmy Williams, and his eight cherished grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Margaret Livingston, and his dear brother, Josheph Williams.

James' immeasurable love for his family, immense faith, and devotion to his community will forever be remembered. His legacy will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
