James's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of James Davis Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Born on September 11, 1924, and departing from us on November 5, 2025, James smoothly sailed through the journey of life, leaving a trail of beautiful memories behind.
Through 81 years of blissful marriage, James and his cherished wife, Betty Davis, built a warm and loving family. Their bond was a testament to true love and commitment. Their enduring legacy lives on through their children, Renea and Bernard Davis, and their doting granddaughter, Porsche Davis, who were his pride and joy.
James was a man with a witty and amusing personality that was as refreshing as his favorite drink - ice tea. He was an avid fan of The Jeffersons and was often found cheering for the Raiders. His fondness for the color green was as vibrant as his spirit, his love for his favorite vacation spot, Hawaii, as deep as his love for adventure.
Among his greatest accomplishments, none measured as high as being a father to his 16 children. To him, his family was his greatest cause, and he cared deeply for every loved one. His cherished wisdom "life is too short to worry" serves as a guiding light for his family and friends during this difficult time.
We remember James not just for the man he was, but for the lives he touched and the love he shared. His passing leaves a void, but his spirit continues to inspire and guide us. Rest in peace, James Davis Jr. You will forever be missed, but your legacy will continue to live on through your loved ones.
