James "Doc" Davies, 70, of Windsor Locks passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Saturday August 24 leaving behind many friends who became family.
James was born on August 8, 1954 in Texas. He came to Connecticut where he began his career as a rigger at Lake Compounce, Riverside and eventually Foxwoods Casino. During his long career at Foxwoods he found life time friends!
During his free time he loved to fish, play golf, gamble at the casino, and take vacations to Lake George and Vegas.
James is survived by his partner Margaret "Peggy" Celso of Windsor Locks. During their 24 years of partnership they have traveled to various places together and built a true partnership.
James had an Alaskan Malipunte named "Chuck" who he loved and cared for deeply.
A sincere thank you to John Viets for his strong friendship with James and for the tremendous support he has provided to James in the last couple of months.
A celebration of Jame's life will be held in Windsor Locks at James's Home [115 Bel-Aire, Windsor Locks] on August 31 at 01:00 pm. In lieu of celebration, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to The Humane Society, in Newington, CT.
James passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and countless friends.
