David was one of the kindest souls I've had the pleasure of knowing.  My deepest sympathies to you all for your huge loss.  May you find peace in the promises of Christ and may you feel his loving arms of comfort.  Rene' Kroll

What a beautiful tribute to David. I loved his stories and the stories I'll remember from my time with him at the Lake of the Ozarks when I was a child. He and my father were jokesters, each trying to out do the other. I'll remember the laughter, his twinkling eyes, and the great affection he showed to me and his other nephews and nieces.   My mother, Betty Sears, has always said that David was like a brother to her.  We send love to all the Franklin family at this difficult time. 

Thinking of you Dave as I recall all the wonderful memories of the stories we shared in the last 18 years as Avignon neighbors. I take comfort in always remembering your smile and great humor. Go in peace and my friend and take comfort on a life well lived.
