Background
We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Husband, Father and Pappy. To know him was to love him, and we truly want to turn this terrible experience into honoring him in the best way possible - a legacy that will live on in his memory<3
Many years ago, Jim’s grand-dog Luke was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, with the only hope for his survival coming in the form of surgery and extensive radiation, the cost of which was extraordinary. We were fortunate to be able to provide this for him, and it saved Luke’s life-allowing him to live a long and happy life in our family. Jim was a huge animal lover, and in his memory we would like to start a yearly donation fund that will go to helping other families who aren’t able to financially afford these critical surgeries/procedures.
We will be working with PVSEC (Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center) in Pittsburgh to set aside a donation pool that can be granted to people in need of financial assistance for their pets in need of surgery for cancer and other serious life-saving events.
Mandy will also be designing and manufacturing animal-theme tee shirts within her boutique, with a percentage of profits going directly to benefit this donation fund.
