James Allen Cutlip was born in Ashland County, on November 24, 1939. After graduating from Jeromesville High School in 1958, he entered the Army where he served for two years. On July 21, 1961, he married his long-time 8th-grade girlfriend, Carol Gregory. The two adopted Melinda "Joy" in Nov 1968 and Thomas Frederick in 1971. He then ran Cutlip's Plumbing, Heating, and Electric, manager at Jone's Rental, and then ran his own handyman service. In 2017 they moved from their lifelong home of Ohio to Flagstaff, AZ to be closer to their family. Jim is survived by his son, Tom, six grandkids, and brothers Larry, Russ, David, and Tim. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle, daughter Joy (July of 1973), and sister Nancy. Jim passed away peacefully on July 12, 2023, in his home in Flagstaff, AZ with his son at his bedside.

Jim is remembered fondly for his quiet and faithful service to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and others around him.  We look forward to seeing him in Heaven again soon!
