James Edward Croak of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania passed away in 1939. He was born in Lock Haven in 1901 to Anna Stacia of 64 N. Fairview Street, Lock Haven & Harry Henry Adams of Allison Township and - later - Dunnstown. James had worked at the Brickworks and Steel Mill in town as well as other positions. He married Josephine Marie Bacon in 1926 and they had three children: James Edward Jr., Josephine Ann and Cynthia (who passed in infancy). James had a love for the country & had begun the construction of a small country house outside Lock Haven. He had expressed great interest in owning a Packard automobile and, with his wife's urging, purchased one. Josephine Ann stated that - from her few childhood remembrances - he had been a very good father. James passed in a nearby hospital from TB at the age of 38. Loved & missed by all.
