James Costello, 73, of Franklyn Square, New York, passed away on January 13, 2024, in North Hollywood, CA. He was born on November 12, 1950.
James was an accomplished composer, artist, writer, and director, with a notable career in the animation industry. He was a principle partner in animation studios in the Philippines, where he not only created original works but also contributed to projects for Hanna - Barbera and Walt Disney.
James was a funny and sometimes serious individual, known for his loyalty, caring nature, and devotion to his loved ones. He was always willing to help others in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
James is survived by his daughter, Monica, his brother, Gary, and his sister in law Deborah. He leaves behind cousins Charles, Diane, Christine, Ollie, Russell, Jane, Richard, and Roger. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Annette Costello.
James graduated from North Babylon Sr. High School and went on to attend the University of Oklahoma from 1968 to 1972. He later pursued higher education at Indiana University from 1972 to 1974.
