Background
Jim and Joan were founding members of the Scenic Payette River Historical Society. Preserving their home's historical connections and natural beauty were important to them. After Jim moved away from Horsehoe Bend he donated a few of his relevant historic
possessions to the cause. The historical society is still active, but has since become The Horseshoe Bend Historical Society.
