It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James "Jim" Moore, who left us on November 15, 2025. Born in 1935, Jim lived a full life, full of vigor and passion. Jim's spirit, kindness, and devotion to family will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Preceded in passing is his wife Betty, his mother Vera Moore, his father Claude Moore, His brothers Henry Moore and Bob Moore, and his sister Sue Castle. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Shirley Minor (spouse Michael) his beloved son James Moore Jr. , 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren His brother Bill Moore, sister Faye McGlothlin (spouse Earl) and sister-in-law Dorothy Moore who will continue to honor his legacy by living their life with a dedication to kindness and love. Even though he's no longer physically present, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts.

May Jim's soul find peace and joy in eternity, and may his family and friends find solace in the wonderful memories he had shared with them.    Funeral Arrangements are as follows: Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood VA                 Visitation Thursday November 20th from 5-7             Visitation Friday November 21st from 12-2, Celebration of life at 2:00, following immediately after will be burial at Temple Hill Cemetery .  Family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers
