It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of James Chouinard, who left us on November 10, 2023. Born in 1959, James lived a fulfilling 64 years filled with quiet strength, strong will, and an unparalleled love for his family. James attended Lewiston schools.

Despite his many health issues, James carried a quiet demeanor and spent his time collecting scrap metal. His perseverance was  by  turning his struggles into sources of will and determination.. His enduring spirit will be remembered even in his absence.

James is survived by his loving mother, Lorraine Chouinard, and his wife, Edris Chouinard. His memory will continue to live on through his son, James Chouinard Jr., as well as his stepdaughters, Tina Thibodeau and Melissa Patrie. Deeply missed by his brothers, Steve and wife, Linda. Marc and his wife Brenda. Larry and his wife, Laurie. Michael and his wife, Lisa and Gerry Chouinard plus many nieces and nephews.

James was predeceased by his father, Arthur Chouinard. Yet, his legacy extends further to his several grandchildren. With each generation,  his  perseverance will undoubtedly continue to resonate.

May his quiet strength and the memories of his  love for his family provide comfort to all who are mourning his passing. James Chouinard's life was a testament of determination; his light will continue to guide us, reminding us of his enduring spirit.
