James's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James "Jimmy" Casity Jr. who left this world too early on March 28, 2025. Though he was sometimes known as James he had a preference for Jimmy. Born on May 17, 1987, Jimmy lived a life that was full and deeply impactful.

Jimmy is survived by his loving family including his father, James Casity Sr., his stepmothers Yvonne Casity, Wendy Garner, and Verna Wisner. He leaves behind cherished memories with his siblings, his brothers, Jacob and Jeromy Casity, Ronald Koenig, Sean Taylor Casity and his sisters  Cierra Casity  , Kayla Rose Simnitt and Diane Koenig. He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Angela Potkay.

Jimmy was a proud graduate of Lodi High School, class of 2005. He had a deep love for German Chocolate Cake and Pepsi, which brought him comfort and joy. He was a passionate fan of anime, having favorite shows and movies from the genre, and even admired anime artworks. His favorite game was video games, and he loved to explore nature in his spare time. Lawson’s Landing held special memories for him as a favored vacation spot.

Jimmy was a sensitive, kind, and serious individual who had a great concern for HIV Awareness. His favorite color, blue, reflected his serene nature. He loved to share his knowledge, especially teaching people how to fix computers, a skill that was very close to his heart.

In lieu of flowers, a collection is being raised in his name for the HIV Education and Prevention Project of Alameda County. You may contribute to the cause at the following address: https://everloved.com/life-of….

In remembrance of Jimmy , let us continue to uphold his spirit of kindness, seriousness, and sensitivity to others. His life was truly meaningful, and he will be greatly missed.

He will be Interned with Full Military Honors May 13, 2025 9:30am at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery
