James's obituary
Born in Pottsville, Jim was the eldest child of the late Martin C. & Florence M. Brady Carroll. Jim grew up in Minersville, and graduated from Nativity BVM High School. He then attended and graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia, PA. He was a "forever" Phillies and Eagles fan and got the thrill of his life when the Eagles won the Super Bowl. Jim was also an avid golfer who was never happier than when he was with friends on the golf course.
Jim spent many years with the Federal Government and then running his own management consulting firm training managers on human resources, representing the Government in arbitration and employee relations cases, and writing newsletters and books on human resources. He was a skilled instructor, a brilliant analyst, and a gifted writer.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Florence, and his father, Martin Carroll. Jim was the love of his wife Marilyn's ("Annie"s) life. Besides his wife, Jim leaves behind his two sons, Michael (Amber) Carroll and Steven Carroll. In addition, he is survived by his two sisters, Mary Anne and Diane, by his brother, Dan, by his grandchildren (Nicole, Bryan and Brendan) and by his nieces and nephews . He was loved by the Dickman in-laws (and outlaws) and by his many, many friends. He will be missed by all of those who knew him.
